International travel insurance - seguro de viaje ( BUPA )

This is only a summary of the main terms and conditions main terms and conditions applicable to BUPA Travel Services. Full policy details are available on request from BUPA Travel, Staines TW18 4XF. BUPA TravelCover is underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc in the United Kingdom.

1. A family comprises the principal insured person, his/her spouse or partner with whom the principal has resided for six months or more and their children under 18 years of age in full-time education and residing with them, when travelling together with the principal insured person.

2. On annual cover, the maximum duration of any one trip will be 90 days. (91 days for Gold Annual Travel Cover ) however cover is limited to a total of 183 days spent abroad in each annual insurance period.

3. Wintersports cover is provided for 17 days for Premier Annual Travel Cover (21 days for Gold Annual Travel Cover) in each insurance period.

4. The sums insured and excesses apply in respect to each insured person for each trip

5. Annual TravelCover does not provide cover for trips solely within the insured person's country of departure, except where Gold Annual Travel Cover has been chosen and paid for and the trip is for three or more consecutive nights. Please see section 15 of the policy for full details.

6. Baggage claims will be subject to a deduction for wear and tear.

7. You must contact FirstAssist for prior authorisation before incurring medical expenses in excess of £500

8. Cover is provided on the basis that you warrant that you are healthy, fit to travel and undertake each trip at the time of booking or commencing travel and that you will not be travelling with the intention of receiving medical treatment abroad.

10. The insurance is not available to residents of the UK, USA or Canada.
